In the film Minority Report, based off of the novel of the same name, many different camera and lighting techniques were used to enhance the movie.
1. At the beginning of the movie, the shots had a grey texture to the them. This attributed to the idea that our protagonist, John Anderton, was in the dark about something. This style carried throughout a large portion of the movie.
2. The color texture in the movie changes when John is about to have his revelation involving the minority reports. The colors become brighter and pop more. This change adds to the concept that John is now enlightened.
3.When John and Danny Witwer first come into contact, an interesting camera angle is used. The two characters are shown on opposite sides of the screen with one character's head between them. This angle is supposed to illustrate the opposing forces on the screen. This angle foreshadows some future conflict between the two.
4. Another interesting angle that was used was at the end of the movie. When Lamar pulls the trigger on the gun pointed at John, the camera is angled so that only the upper torso's of the characters is shown. This creates an increased element of surprise when it is revealed that Lamar shot himself instead of John.
5. During one of the fight scenes, John is on the back of one of the pre-crime officers. The officer ends up flying into one of the nearby buildings. When this happens, the camera is positioned inside the building so that you see John and the officer fly through the wall into the building. This angle adds to the scene by increasing the dramatics of the impact by juxtaposing it with the tranquil scene previous to the impact.

The pre-cogs in the film, used by the pre-crime division, to predict future murders. They produce partial images that the officers of pre-crime must pick apart in order to stop the murders. The pre-cogs live in a chamber called the temple. They are suspended in a pool of water and hooked up to a machine that can transfer their visions. Many, myself included, think that this treatment of the pre-cogs is unethical. They are kept in suspended animation with no free will. Their only purpose is to see horrific murders over and over again.
