Lighting was a big technique used in Minority report; in the beginning it was very dark and there were a lot of scenes that took place at night. Towards the end though, when John Anderson found the flaws in the system and tried to fix everything the lighting became brighter and used more natural lighting like the sun. Shadows were used a lot like in the seen where John Anderson was buying drugs from the drug dealer and you couldn't see his face but once he came out of the shadows the man had no eyes. One of my favorite shots was when it obscured one of police officers and showed John Anderson and Danny Witwer (Colin Farrell) were staring down each other. There were also some good angle shots were either John Anderson was jumping from car to car or when the police came down to arrest him wearing jet-packs. The most useful camera techniques was probably lighting because it set the mood.
The pre-cogs were babies that suffered because their parents abused alcohol and drugs while pregnant and by a medical mistake they became able to see future crimes. They were forced to use their gift unwillingly to prevent future murders. The pre-cogs were given drugs so they wouldn't feel anything and they were almost in a vegetative state were they couldn't do anything. They lived in this pool hook up to this machine that allowed their visions to be seen on a screen. It is unethical to defy someones rights even if it is for a greater good.
