Cypher Eason- Minority Report Science

Philip K. Dick uses science fiction to tell a story with futuristic elements such as the settings in his writings. Many locations take place far after the time period his writings were written. His writings express his depiction of the future, and his skepticism of reality and people. A lot of other major themes and propelling features of the films inspired by his writing use science, such as the replicants in Blade Runner, and the precogs in Minority Report.

Minority Report uses science as a theme to the story with the pre-cogs. One of the major themes/questions brought up is if the usage of the pre-cogs is ethical. This question propels the story, and separates the protagonists, and antagonists.

the evolving theme of science in today's world affect us positively because technology makes things more accessible, and easier. For example, getting directions to a place is seamless with technology like siri, and google maps. But as technology advances, privacy becomes less relevant. For example, many mobile apps use your specific location. And almost all smartphones can be tracked.
